Looking for opinions on this rust on the frame. Wanted to see what everyone’s thoughts were about cleaning this up or is it too far gone.? Hopefully didn’t post it in the wrong spot.

Doesn't look too far gone to me - better than most midwest rust photos I have seen. There was a thread somewhere here on mud where a guy took his 80 to a shop that blasted it with baking soda I think and then painted it - turned out well and seem like it held up from what I recall. I think he was in Alaska. I'll see if I can find the post and link it.
Sorry, couldn't find the thread I was thinking of - thought I had "watched" it but in my searching I think they had use dry ice to blast it instead of media or soda (dry ice evaporates quickly and doesn't leave media behind in all the nooks and crannies). It might be worth looking to see in anyone does that in your area.
That doesnt look bad at all. Not even flaking off much less rusted through. Just surface rust from what I can see.
definitely still savable, but its going to be quite an effort to scrape that off and apply an inhibitor . i would recommend eastwood products, they seem to have a full line of rust products
