I'm about to refurbish my HJ47(pick up), unfortunately due to my bent and chapped chassis. So I have decided to look for a troopy frame which in term less work hour is done on any troopy compared to a pick up.(pick up usually works as a horse).
My question here is both frame identical to each other in term of length and cab mount?.

Any ideas or measurements are welcomed!:D

Search the forum here. I think there are scans from the factory service manual with frame dimensions. I can scan it soon if you can't find it.

I don't think there's a difference in the frame between a Troopy and a pickup for the long wheelbase frame.

The only two differences are.
A different rear crossmember. The pickup version doesn't have the holes for the rear lights. And from the cab back, there are a few different shaped body mounts. But all the holes are the same, so you can drill out the rivets and swap those mounts between the frames.

I had a mate who had a HJ47 ute cab on a HJ47 troopy chassis. As troopie said the rear of the frame is the only difference in a) length, and b) the troopie chassis has body mount holes. He ran a flatbed tray [called a trayback or dropside tray in Australia - Google for images] so for him it wasn't a problem. Just fab up some mounts.

Good luck! I love HJ47's!
