My wife went and looked at this one in last week or two. We had a system where she would look at the truck while I was at work and I would go look after i got off if she thought it was worth it. She saw so many that she ended up knowing exactly what to look for and I wasn't even involved with the purchase of our new LX. I say that just so point out that I trust her opinion, as she got us a real nice truck for a decent price and I am quite picky about things.
Here is her description;
"Decent condition. Power steering pump questionable but I didn't check the fluid, it had power, drivability was decent, battery was dead and they had to jump it. Not the vehicle for us but overall I'd say a fair prospect for someone looking for a truck to be used as a trail vehicle or maybe a daily driver. Not a Sunday driver, like ours though".
No service records, only car fax and interior and exterior are 6 or 7 out of 10. Not bad for the age relative to what else was on the market at the time. Standard 16 years worth of scuffs and dings. Front seats looked as though they had been replaced and weren't exactly right. All doors creaked when they opened. She also thinks the dash was somehow misaligned as it seemed off to her. We didn't get so far as to measure the AHC (if it was still in tact) as it had been vetoed at that point.
So there you go. If anyone else has any other questions about a 100 series in Houston, let me know. My wife probably looked at it in the last few weeks.
