After several months of researching and passive searching, I got serious on finding an LC. Had a few promising leads and nearly bought one before discovering some electrical issues. Glad I waited, because I found this gem in Indiana. 2000 LC, solely dealer maintained, 124k miles, $9.5k. It lived its life so far as a plush kid carrier, and their mom hated driving on the snow, so rust is at a minimum (a little surface on the hitch welds and rear sway bar).

Flew across the country and had a pleasant (uneventful) drive the 1,100 miles to home. She's a beauty. Just like @JonD - I'm naming it after the woman who cared for her. Meet Wendy. The last thing she said to me before hitting the road was "don't take it in the dirt!" Didn't take long to find something along the highway.

No big plans yet, except for changing to chrome emblems, adding all weather mats, and replacing the antenna that got eaten up at a carwash. I'll have to wait for the kiddos to get bigger before removing the running boards. It'll be my DD in the city, alternative kid carrier, and weekend camp gear hauler.

This place is an amazing resource, thanks everyone for openly sharing so much knowledge. Glad to finally go from longtime lurker to part of the club.

Did you find this at a dealer or on Craigslist? I have been scoping Indiana for a couple months now and new saw this! Can you post some interior pics? Congrats!

I'd been searching Craigslist nationally using searchtempest.com as well as AutoTrader. I found this on my first-ever search using Cars.com. It must have just posted because I was first to respond, but the seller was soon inundated with calls from other states as well as 3 inquiries from overseas.

No torn leather. The "wood" trim is faded and splotchy in some places. I'm debating whether to keep it as character, replace it for looks, or pull it and expose the black plastic.

Also, I'm just learning how rare the auto-dimming/compass review mirrors are. Is that the case? This one has it.

Congrats @trudd and hi Wendy! Great find. FWIW I have the auto dim compass mirror as well.

One thing I haven't figured out is the little storage area right by the mirror - where either sunglasses or a garage door opener would usually go. I haven't tried very hard to open it, but it doesn't seem to want to pop open like it has in other 100 series I've been in. Is there some kind of wiring for this mirror in there? I'll probably get curious and pop it open soon.

Trying to replace a family members crashed 100, the good ones around $10k or less go quick, and the rest is s***ty. Congrats on your find and purchase.
