I found a guy and plan on dropping the truck off this weekend, thanks Jeremy! I now need to decide on color and need some advice, my wife just looks at me like I'm crazy... The rig currently has it's orginal mustard yellow paint....

Options...

1) Repaint it Mustard Yellow (keep it nice and orginal)
2) Freeborn Red (yeah I know Gumby likes this)
3) Dune Beige (really like this, has a cool safari thing about it)
4) Go old school with Capri Blue (not orginal and might look strange on a newer Cruiser)

Lets hear what you think......

Here is a photo for inspiration....

Mustard.

Dune is for the yuppies that want to play safari....

Hmmm.... Im not so much a yuppie as I am a poser plus I love playing safari/hatari. I could chase my beagle down the street in the Fj40 and rope him like the duke did with the rhino.:D

No brainer.....you have a cool original color, keep it that way. Possibly the best 40 color.

Hmmm. Maybe the poser color is green?.

:hmmm:

Mustard or dune

I could go with either one... They are both great colors but would lean toward the mustard since its the original...

Stick with the mustard it just looks right. Plus you don"t see anything else on the road that color so it sticks out from the crowd.

Other than the fact that your truck is going end up looking like mine's twin, I think the best choice would be to keep it mustard yellow.

Mustard here too sinse that is the original color of my 78. That makes three in the group...that is if I can ever finish the engine swap.
