2003 LC with factory Nav and DVD in console.
So i was going to get rid of my Vais Sat and go with Vais iPod integration but they only work for years 04+ with Vais. However, their competitor USA Spec would work with my system so i bought it. I told my stereo guy to take the vais out and put the USA Spec in and i would just use my iPhone sirius app to run sirius. I had my doubts about it since it would use data to run it, but my company pays for it so who cares, right.
So i get a call from stereo guy saying that it is all plug and play and the USA Spec will work with the Vais Sat as well. Apparently when you hit the DISC button once it goes to the Vais Sat, hit it again and it goes to CD (USA Spec iPhone) and hit again goes to my DVD/CD. I was told by Vais that you could only toggle between two things, not three. Well you can now have all of your media hardwired in and you can use your factory radio and wheel controls to rummage through it all.....
here is an added bonus. the USA spec has two ports. 1. iPhone/Ipod port and 2. RCA cable port (red and white plugs). I have a headphone plug (reverse AUX port) coming off the end of this and can plug my computer or whatever into it and run it through the speakers. This is controlled on the CD screen, same screen the iPhone is controlled on. By pressing 9 on the screen it toggles back and forth between the iPhone and the AUX port.
I'll take some pictures and post them. Apparently this will work with any LC with a factory Nav 98+
