I've got a recurring water leak in my F150... I've replaced both front and rear glass with new seals as well as stripping and re-sealing the firewall with seam sealer and fresh paint. I'm still getting trace amounts of water in the cab that have me scratching my head. It's definitely not coolant, and it seems to be coming in near the back window.

I was watching Wheeler Dealers (love that show) and Edd used a fog machine to fill the car with smoke and see where it came out to identify potential leaks. I googled this method but couldn't find any info on it. My only concern is that the fog machine's vaporized fluid could get into the upholstry and leave a nasty smell - anyone have any thoughts? I'd like to figure out where the leaks is on this truck (and check my cruiser - I think the rear windows have a slow leak too!) and wanted to see if anyone else had tried this method.

It's your outside cab 3rd brake light gasket leaking, very common problem on these trucks,..take out 2 screws, straighten gasket, or get a new one, or silicone it. Use the search on the Ford trucks forum, just go to the thread that fits your year F150.

Have you determined that was not the problem? I know one thing
, if you've been getting water in there, you better pull the plastic door sill covers off and see if there is water in the wire chases.
