So the factory fogs on the factory front bumper are looking tired and don't cast much light. I think I have two options:

1. Do the toothpaste or 3M headlight treatment and add a better bulb

2. Add some LED cubes in the opening below the front license plate.

Is there a third option, like a late model lexus bitchin factory fog that fits in the bumper? If no, I am inclined to do..........1 and 2 lol

Please post if you figure out a good way to do the led cube lights. Mine are tired too, so I'm replacing them with some eBay aftermarket replacements (~$50) and will reuse my John deer HIR bulbs. I'd like to use some Rigid LED lights like I use on my motorcycle though.

I installed these heretic studio lights in my 99. I was going to try to clean up the originals but when I removed them they were so brittle they were crumbling. I love the lights put out great light. I love having the option of fog or driving lights.

Wow nice. How do you mount those lights? Just screw it into the plastic bumper? Are they pretty secure, not shaking around when you are driving?

They don't wiggle or vibrate at all while driving. If I push on them hard enough they will move but not easily. I Drilled holes in the top of the light opening. Used fender washers on the topside for stability. I'm sure some flat stock on the top would stiffen it up better.

I have a similar set-up to plankowner911, after trying in vain to repair my OEM fog lamps which started to fill up with water / fog up. The cheap DEPO fog's despite being sealed with extra high-temp RTV silicone still filled with water.

I got these off ebay and have been extremely happy. I paid 85 shipped from a US based seller. These are made in Taiwan or China. I sealed them with clear RTV silicone, just to be safe. Really heavy duty heat sink fins built in. CREE Flood Amber 2Pc 6"30W LED Work Light Bar Offroad Auto Jeep Driving SUV Lamp

Not a drop of condensation this winter. I had to dremel out the inner flange where the OEM fogs screw into, so that these would clear and stay relatively flush. They came with stainless steel mounting hardware. I bolted them to the top side of the plastic bumper, where the original fogs used to sit. Have not notice them shaking or moving, it's pretty secure. I did spray the hardware with fluid film and coat the thread of the screws with antiseize. I simply cut my fog light wires were they go into the connectors and crimped these fog light wires in place.

Their dimensions are roughly 6" wide, 4-5" in depth, 2-3" in height irc.
