Looking for IGNITER for FJ 40. This is what I have and it's still working. I want to have a spare in case it stops working.

89620-60031
ND 131100-1781

I understand that these also work
89620-22111, 89620-22112, 89620-60020, 89620-60021, 89620-60030, 89620-60031
IF you know of any other part #'s that work or are updated numbers please let me know

Any other thoughts are appreciated

If you have one please let me know.

I recently upgraded the 79-specific ignition components on my 79 FJ40 (igniter, coil, distributor, resistor wire, pushrod cover) to a big cap FJ60 setup.

At some point, I'll be listing all my oem ignition takeoffs including the igniter if you're interested.

The original igniter produced spark, but failed the FSM transistor test. I found a couple of bad diodes inside, but didn't go any further.

Sounds good. I just sent you a PM (private message).

A word of caution, you may want to avoid posting your contact info on any open forum. There have been stories of scammers using that info to their advantage, including here.

I already sold that info so he is in for a treat!!! 😂😂

About repairs, no, I'm not familiar with anyone here that does igniter repair. Coolerman did a writeup on his igniter and created a schematic to figure out how it worked, which helped me. I haven't heard he works on them.

Since the power transistors (probably hard to find) seemed to work, I was thinking it may just need a couple of off-the-shelf diodes that I could replace myself if I knew the values. I did a quick measurement and found two that seemed bad.
