sorry about that....

the tech part thought that some one might be able to help out how to get seat blets to work and where i might be able to find a harness for the seat belts... looked at SOR but the truck is old and the seat belts use to attach to the seat its self and was looking to see how they work with the older models...

after 1967....

jow is that???? better? I hope so.... I do have one on the parts also just incase i can buy this part off of someon on the boards....

can you take a photo???

If you could take a photo and post it so I can see how it was done that would be great... this is really getting to me... Toyota couldn't even help me out . they said it was to old for there records..... not a good sign...
thanks
john

Sorry, pulled them weeks ago. Belt -> Cleat (for lack of better name) -> Grade 8 bolt -> Floor

The belt is sewn into the metal cleat (just like any other fixed lap belt).

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Mounting seatbelts is trivial.

1. Anchor them properly (anchor should not tear out during accident)
2. Use them according to spec (use them how they were meant to be used)
3. If you don't feel your wife and kids are safe in the rig, you've done something wrong.

wanted to make sure everything and every body was safe .... not sure how they should mount that is a major question since the lap belt doesn't or wouldn't slide into the metal clip....

your 40 is an early 40? like 66 or before? if so.................seats belts were not included. my 66, 65, 64 all have seat belts(various makes) that are just bolted to the floor using an EYE bolt or similar.

also if no seat belts when sold new........no seat belts are required by law. Frankly with the early harpoon steering colume you might be better off with no belts......so you can dodge the colume before it goes thru your heart ;)

your 67 might be a 66. Do you have a roll bar, stock or otherwise?

the year i have is a 67,,,,,, was told there were seat belts.. and would like to add a 4pt harness seat belt.

no roll bar in 67 or for a few more years, I think 73.

title means nothing, often a cruiser sat on the lot for over a year, when sold it was titled the year sold not made. look for a brass tag on the VIN plate, if there it will say 67, then check frame # on Spector Off Road chart for what year it really is.

not that it matters......I know ya just want seat belts :)
