I'm considering replacing my bed with a flatbed, depending on how much money I get from insurance. I can't seem to find any pictures of 2nd Gens with Flatbeds though! I'm guessing I'll probably have to have it custom built; is this something a custom trailer company could do?

Anyone know of anybody around Boise that does this sort of thing?

If its anything like my recent insurance company dry rape with state farm, they'll offer you 196.00 to replace a license plate, camper shell, and touch up the paint on my bumper/tailgate.

As for a bed, I saw a UTE style tray on a local delivery company. It was slick looking! The bed's themselves arent hard to build, but keeping it lightweight is the part that is challenging.

good luck!

Peep out your local craigslist for fabricators/4x4 shops, probably gonna be cheaper than a trailer outfit.

other option... buy a welder with the cash and learn to weld. Building the flatbed on my old Taco was how I learned.
