I’ve been watching a threads about these in the 300 and 250 sections. Decided to go looking on the FK website. They are sold out on their main site and not even listed on their alibaba website. I’d love a cheaper alternative to the LRA tank(I’m not saying the quality isn’t there just that the value proposition isn’t). Potentially thinking of contacting them if there’s any interest.

Looks intriguing! The clearance looks good for such a large tank. That's a very attractive price too. Please post a review/install, if you go that route. I have an LRA, but it's always nice to see other options.

LX and LC are the same in regards to fitting an aux tank

Unfortunately won't work as is for the USDM 200-series. There's no relief cut-out for our emissions charcoal canisters. The LRAs are modified with a relief for that reason, and lose about 1.5 gal of volume in the process.

Someone good at fabrication could modify the tank.

The charcoal canister can potentially be relocated but that presents its own issues and there's not a ton of space elsewhere in the vehicle.

Most Australian aux tanks are made from aluminized steel or plastic. The FK tank uses Aluminum-Magnesium alloy. I'm not a material expert but I would think the aluminized steel would be less prone to cracking/splitting when impacted. I also have been using LRA for a very long time and it has taken some good hits without cracking/splitting.

Edit: Also, I just watched the video. That is a replacement tank for the OE subtank, not a transfer tank. Will need further work to be used as a transfer system including a dual fuel neck, fuel gauge and the aforementioned charcoal canister modification.

There is an exiting recipe to add a second tank, but the dual filler neck is very hard to source, and the install is not easily reversible.

Having a 40 gal option is nice, was previously limited to the 11 gal OEM 2nd tank.

This could probably work and shows 7 available.

I hope it’s available. A few folks have had trouble getting it actually in a cart and on the way, but that was a couple years ago, hopefully they made more.

If you do get that filler, you’ll want to bend the small pipe closer to the large pipe at the bottom to avoid having to lift the body when fitting the new filer back in. Will save a couple hours loosening and tightening body mounts.
