For those considering the Alibaba FK Industries fuel tanks, heres my experience.

First… why? Well, because I plan on towing offroad, through small towns, and I’m getting 7.5mpg. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out i need more fuel.

What I’d like to not discuss is payload, tongue capacity, weights, legality, laws, insurance… you do you.

After I picked up my camper and towed it a thousand miles, I made the decision that my LX700h was a good tow vehicle. I almost got a F250. I knew the tanks were available, but nobody had installed them…. So I guess I’m First!

Some of the questions answered… took 8 man hours for install. There were some minor changes from the video/instructions, but nothing crazy. All the parts needed were included. 29 gallon primary and 14 gallon auxiliary. You can chose either or both… I chose both. Shop put 10-12 gallons in before I arrived, I added 29. They appears sit just as low as factory. They are really well built. In one picture,,it looks close to the exhaust, but it actually has good clearance. Yes, the mechanic drives a LC. Yes, my GT3RS was getting a tire patched while they installed the tanks, lol

Nice! Just in time for the weekend. 39-42 gal, that's even more than the lx600 with extended range options they offer in Australia. How does the gauge behave? Full until the aux tank is empty?

Thanks for being a pioneer!

That’s my understanding, that it remains full until the auxiliary tank is empty. I haven’t had a chance to really find out yet. lol

In Miami Blue no less. All colors look so good on the RS.

That’s awesome! That’s going to be some serious range when towing.

I’m definitely interested to hear about the logistics of how the range displays on the dashboard or if you have to actually set your trip to zero every time you fill up.

Any warning lights at this point? Everything seems to be working as it should?

This is awesome thanks for being the first. I think I’m sold. Anyone know a good shop in Houston? What would be a reasonable install cost? I don’t have a lift so I don’t feel like trying this one on my back.

AWESOME!!!!!!
Thanks so much for sharing the photos.
And thanks for sharing comments on installation.
Glad to hear it was "as advertised" in quality and installation.
Can't wait for mine to show up in 30-45 days.

Sorry if already asked, but is the consensus that the OEM auxiliary tank sold by Lexus in other markets won’t work for us here and the FK ones are the only current option?

I'm working on that currently; review my OEM tank thread.

We can get most of the parts but the US truck is missing two mounting brackets and so I'm in the drawn out process of designing some bolt-on solutions.

Based on your research is there no way to get the part from Australia or UAE?
The brackets, no; they are weldments directly to the frame. Most the of the rest of the parts are. I'll publish the bill of materials in the near future after I can make more time for it. Have some household projects taking priority.

Wow that is super annoying. I'm sure there will be a 2029 refresh that gives us the LX "GR Sport Version". No hydraulic just eKDSS, extended fuel tank and refresher front that has a better approach angle.

Duggies Garage installed the LRA tank on my 200 and did a good job. You might try them
