FJZ80 Third Brake-Light Question

Hello, all! So my '94 LC's third brake light does not work. I have had the actual light tested, and it works. So it's something in the wiring. The guy who works on my LC said that he'd have to get behind the interior panels to figure out what's wrong. He did say that there was a possibility that he could re-route the and split the electrics from the main brake lights to the third brake light. Was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue before? Thanks!

My guess would be the wires have cracked where they come out of the body and go into the hatch.

IIRC the connections are on DS behind the rear quarter panel. 2min to remove and check in there.
