FJ80 Alternator to FJ40 2F

I want to replace my 1981 FJ40 alternator with an FJ80 alternator from a 1992 FJ80. The FJ80 alternator 2 groove pulley hits the radiator fan and the alternator external fan hits the adjustment bracket on the FJ40. Can I simply unbolt the pulley and external fan on the FJ80 alternator and replace it with the FJ40 alternator pulley and fan or is there more to it? I already have the wiring from Coolerman and have a Dakota cluster.

The geometry of the case is different from being mounted on the other side.
