Between Daily Driver repairs, and house work I squeezed a few minutes in on this project. Here are a few update pix. The rear bumper and tire carrier are completely fabbed by me. I have to detail paint plenty of things, especially the headlight buckets, turn signals, trim, etc...... this is in no way finished, still in the mock-up stages. What kinds of gear should I add to the roof rack? I already have fuel and water cans. The black box could simulate a gear box, and I have something to use as a 5 gallon bucket. Just looking for other suggestions.

Sine the weather is so sucky I've progressed a little on my own 80.

made custom sliders and a rear bumper/carrier:

"Installed" the sliders after adding my "Line-X":

Rear bumper installed (required removing the rear crossmember, just like the real bumper will):

Next up is the full cage I'm planning for my real 80. I don't have enough round stock, plus my couple of experimental bends haven't really turned out well....

Now you ought to chop and "Short Bus" that rig. :D

..

Mine's done, for now....

I'm not going to do the cage.

I'm a little ticked that the Tamiya dark green was supposed to be darker than British Racing Green, but it ain't!

Still, overall, I'm diggin' it.

looks good. i wonder what those tires scale out to. look like 37s.

I haven't progressed much on mine. I screwed up the rear emblem detail, and trying to figure out how "fix" that.
