Help needed with 4.5 Petrol Carb, Carb removed some time back and replaced, sespect that vacuum pipes not refitted corectly. What pipe must go where and what is the function of all these vacuum pipes? Can some of then be blocked?

What year? Where do you live? any pics... The 60 guys might be able to help more.

I'm guessing you probably have a non usa carb with hardly any vacuum lines to begin with..

Most of them are for the aircon fast idle.
Can give you more pics if you give us more info newbie

Thanks for the response, My Cruiser is a 1996 Model LDV (75 series) converted to a Double Cab. Engine 4.5l (1FZ-F) 24 valve petrol with standard 'Asian Carb'. Tried to include pic but could not get it right

A 4.5 litre 1FZ with a carb is a rare bird around here and I was thinking it was probably a 3F like my old one.
I thought those engines only existed in South America.
Your cruiser should be designated a FZJ75 unless the engine has been fitted by yourself.

I cant help you with it but I (and others:D)would really like to see some pics of your dual cabbed 75.
Did it start life as a troopy or was it built up from a cab chassis?
Oh,and that is spelt "Aisan" They build a lot of the landcruiser components for Toyota.

To post pics you need to resize them so they are less that 90kb.
Then you click on "manage attachements"
Then you click on "browse" and find the resized picture you want .
Right click on the pic and choose "select" then "upload" then close window and "submit reply"

Known locally as a FJ75 LDV or Bakkie (Think you guys call it a ‘Truck’). One of the few that last in Africa thus "Land Cruiser = King of Africa":grinpimp: The conversion is actually a standard single cab LDV, the load bin is shortened, cab extended (Steel) with two extra doors with bench type seat at the back. (Will send photos if anybody are interested) The conversion ads about 150Kg to total weight. My vehicle is totally rigged for serious over landing and is used exclusively for that purpose.
In short some goodies:
OMU (Australian) extra heavy-duty suspension with double shocks at the back.
170L Long range tank + standard 90L tank = Fuel range +- 1200Km
Dual spare wheel carrier
Air Comp. With storage tank (15L) Max press 14bar
Lock rite locker (Back only)
Roof mounted console
2 way radio
Minus 40 fridge/freezer
Lockable safe between front seats
Dual batteries
110l water tank
Purpose build canopy
Roof racks x 2
Rooftop tents x 2
BFG 285/75 R16 tyres (Muds) Spares = standard 750 on split rims
80mm S/Steel exhaust taped with asbestos tape (prevent grass from catching fire and to keep heat minimal from cab and petrol tanks)
Aluminum Bull bar with winch
Cylinder head gas flowed (That is where the carb vacuum pipe problem came from)
And the rest – recovery gear, tools, spares ext.

:o I,m the one on the roof not the one standing next to the Cruiser. Photos from a trip into Zambia (Southern Africa) November 2004

Nice looking backie:D. We just call them "utes" in Australia.
Was yours sold with the 1FZ?
Is the rear axle on yours moved back to give a full rear door?
I couldnt see with the gentleman standing in the way:D
Ive always wanted a dual cab 75. I guess Australia and Africa are the only continents where they are made.
There is another owner from your area with a dual cab that logs on here,I think his handle is FJ Africa. He owns a light brown dual cab diesel.

This is one that was up for option close to me last week.
It has the high roof which is cooler but in my opinion doesnt have the looks.
We also have plenty of low roof versions too.
And another I spied in traffic:D

Just took these two pics with Cell (Kids took the camera) the aircon pump seen on the photo is used for Comp air. The real Aircon pump sits under it.

Too small ,try again when the kids get back:D

Had mine now for about 7.5 years, they used to be scares but is getting more popular (Maybe because of all the new soft 4x4’s available on the market)
No the axle has not been moved back. And yes it came out with the engine as standard.
Yip the H/Roof does not look so nice, could be very practical, is it used for extra storage space maybe books and stuff? What is very interesting is the load bins, is it a flat bottom load bin?

The high roof is mainly for the mining companies in the hot interior where it provides some insulation and less chance of someone hurting their head on bad roads.

They are nearly always what we call trays or traybacks and yes they are flat.
Only a small number of 75 were sold with the factory tub on the rear.

Here is a pic of our low roof version,I think this one was a service vehicle from an open cut iron ore mine up north. It was dirty but in good condition.
It is a 79 series and has uprated suspension plate fitted by Dobinsons Springs in the engine bay. The sun visor is a Toyota accessory here along with the wing mirrors

We also like chopping the 105 series into dual cabs as well:D

This is a pic of the roll cage fitted internally to the dual cab 79 series to comply with occ health and safety requirents. They are also available for the troop carrier as well. Im not sure how well they work but they would be better than nothing

Welcome to the forum LC75. Nice looking double cab!

Sorry but we are woefully lacking in 1FZ-F info here. The FZ-F was sold in South America, Africa and Asian countries to replace the 3F in 1993. Let me see what I can do to find some pictures of the vacuum lines routing...

Who has a general market 1FZ-F / 1FZFE engine manual here?

Dave

On second thought, the vacuum lines picture I have is way too large to post on the forum without severely slowing down the page loading. LC75 let me e-mail it to you instead.

Were there any rust issues after the conversion? I really like the way the pillar between the two side windows was painted black, making the cabin look longer.

Dave

Lucky buggers these "Mates" with all the extra goods for the cruisers available.:crybaby:
Flat bottom load bins, practical for working, mining and farming (Drop sides and all) but with some loss of space and higher point of gravity, think I still prefer the std for O/Landing.

Dave send you my e-mail, No rust to date. Keep in mind that we live 500Km,s from the nearest coast at an altitude of 1800m. We are not really sea people rather enjoy the real African bush; will probably do the sea thing once we get old and lazy.

Regards

China spec? Did you pull that off the EPC?
