My model is 1989 fj62, when I go out I know it wont start cause its goign 2 be warm, so I leave it to cold down then it starts without a problem, any help will be apreciated thank you :)

Does the starter turn over?

Yes... Then sounds like a fuel problem.

No... Starter has issues or cable is corroded to starter.

no problem when my rig is cold when it warms up everything is ok starter but just like it has no fuel need 2 wait then i turn key starts at first try.. when cold..

cold = works so fine and starts at turn off key

hot = does not start ( need to wait till cold rig running well almost 90mph :P )

starter working fine warm and cold.

Yoda's right on - Fuel Pressure Regulator

recently had the same prob with mine. thought it was the fuel pressure regulator but turned out to the the coolant temp. switch.

Another vote for the FPR

If it ain't that, it's good preventative maintance anyway.

sorry for my newb-ness, but what is the NSS?

What did you do to by pass it?
Ive got warm start issues with mine that I just cant figure!
Replaced the FPR, did tune up: cap, wires, fuel filter etc...checked the connections, tested the relays...BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...
I was leaning towards the fuel pump being the culprit, but Id like to exhaust all EASY items before I go so far as to drop the tank and replace a pump that is GOOD!

Ya know, I didn't actually do the dirty work. The fellers at our latest wrenching day handled it. But if you PM Tools R Us, maybe he can tell you exactly what he did.
