hey gang,

does anyone know of a good shop in the RDU area that I could get the windshield replaced in my FJ62? the gasket is leaking and I figured i'd get a new windshield since mine is a bit cloudy in the corners.

thanks!

If you have any concerns about underlying rust, the guys at Carolina Offroad Outfitters handled the issues with my 100 series. Had a nice frame off resto going on a 60 there too. Good dudes.

i am little concernced with that as i'm not sure what's going on underneath. what was the turn around time on yours?

thank you!

That had it for about 4 days but there was more rust than we thought initially (but thankfully no new steel had to be welded in) so it may be quicker if yours is not bad. Windshield has been perfect/tight/quiet since.

awesome! thank you for the heads up. might just have them look at it since they've been working on mine since i've had it. were they able to supply the glass or did you just reuse yours?

I needed new glass so they replaced--they sourced the glass. I'd guess they'd be happy to reuse yours if it can be salvaged.
