Anyone know how much I should ask for the tool kit out of my 89 FJ62? It looks complete and in great condition, just don't have any need for it. I figure I might as well sell it complete with tool kit, bottle jack and spare tire remover. I saw one complete kit on ebay for I think like $250 in way worse condition than mine. Any ideas what someone would pay? I'll try to remember to take pics when I get home tonight. Thanks for any input!

Here's my tool kit, I think it's complete?

I think you kinda answered your own question dude. Yours looks very nice, but I'm Dutch, so I'd have a hard time paying over $250 for a fairly sparse tool kit like that when you could easily get 4 times as many tools from Napa or Craftsman for the same price. But some people have too much money so ask high, sell high.

Same here, I would never pay that much. I was just having trouble finding anything to base a price off of. And I was mistaken, the eBay one was $475 which seems straight ridiculous.

When I bought my 62 used 20 yrs ago I don't think the previous owner knew there was a tool kit and jack in the rear panel. I was the first to touch it after the guy in Japan put it there.

I like to keep it all complete and in the vehicle mostly for the cool nostalgic factor, but actually use it occasionally. The bottle jack is minimal but could save your ass in a jam and easy to stow. Where is your spare tire? If it's underneath in the stock carrier, you'll need those rod extensions to operate the crank.

Jus' sayin...

This, but if you want cash you answered your own question: stick it on ebay and let the market god's determine it's ultimate value.

I'd like to keep it for that exact reason but I would rather have the cash to throw back at the truck. I just put it on ebay for $400 obo since I didn't really have any other price to go off of. That being said...If anyone on here is doing a restoration and want it to keep everything original jut PM me and I'll send the link and give you a lot better deal since we are, afterall, a Toyota family. I plan on buying LED's with the money I get from it so I can finally start building my roof rack. Thanks for the input guys!

And unfortunately it did not come with a spare. I'm going to build a bumper with a split swing out gate for spare and fuel/water cans. I've got big plans but want to start with the rack.
