My understanding from other cruiser models I have worked on is that the front port (closest to grille) on the master cylinder goes to the rear brakes, and the rear to the front brakes.

When I changed out my fj62 master cylinder with a T100, I believe I put the lines in the same order as the previous master cylinder, but they are reverse from what I expected. Front goes to front and rear goes to rear. Can anyone confirm if that is how the fj62 master cylinder is supposed to be configured, and if I need to change that to accomodate the T100 MC? There are a few threads on here talking about the order possibly being reversed from the typical configuration that just died so I don't know for sure.

When I installed a T100 MC, I maintained the original order of the lines. Not sure if this is correct or not, but it's been that way for the last 15k.

Thanks for the picture. That's how mine was set up as well, which I believe is rear brake rear port, front brake front port. Not sure why the 62 lines were set up to initiate the rear brakes first, or whether that should stay with the t100. I've deleted the lspv, so I think I'll switch the order being that the lspv would bypass to the fronts but now they won't.

I still have my LSPV and I get super conflicted when I think about removing it. On one hand, I don't want to find myself locking up the rears when I panic brake. On the other hand, I've never towed anything or been so overloaded where the LSPV should play a critical role.

How's your braking performance? I also have 4runner calipers and my fj62 brakes pretty good overall, but not orders of magnitude better compared to the old OE brakes. I would really have to stomp on the pedal to get the brakes to lock up on dry pavement.

Please let me know if switching the lines makes a difference for you!

My brakes always sucked so I upgraded everything last year. 4runner booster and calipers in front, and t100 MC. Still drums in rear. Brakes have been too sensitive ever since. I've messed with varying MC bores and that helps some, but still too sensitive, can easily lock up all tires with a small press of the foot.

I put a prop valve in place of the lspv so that I can still dial in the rears.

My biggest issue overall has been how sensitive that first lazy foot press is. Meaning when you rest your foot on the brake. I get too much braking when I cover the brake to get ready to stop before even really pressing on it, like I'm having to tip toe around my brake pedal. Was hoping swapping the order of the lines may help but still pretty much the same feel as before.

I have a feeling most of my sensitivity is coming from the booster.
