It's just and finally started raining here in NorCal and I went to drive the FJ62 this morning. I found a drip on the driverside "A" pillar grab handle. It looks like it is coming from behind the handle as everything else is dry. It doesn't drip much, but it's enough that I have to find the leak and fix it.

My first guess is that this is a windshield gasket leak?

Any one else have something similar and find a solution?

Anything else that could leak and drip in in this area?

Any thoughts/speculations/wild-assed guesses appreciated.

I believe others have had leaks along the seam of the rain gutter, which allows water to run along inside the roof to the front (or back?). What condition is the seam sealer in up there?

The seam sealer looks pretty good. I don't know how to reseal. Any thoughts? There is an area that looks like it held a roof rack, and I know the PO used to carry Kayaks.

I have the same leak but it has not gotten to the point that I need to find a cure. My 62 has not had a roof rack on it so I assume no stress on the seam. I look forward to any suggestions on curing this leak.

Good Luck.

I have the same leak as well. Drips right on my knee. I fill like it is the rain gutter as well just not sure how to fix it.

So I did some more investigation. I think it is the gutter, as there is an area where the seam sealer looks questionable.

Anyone know how and with what to seal the gutter?

I'm pretty sure it has been discussed in the past, body or panel sealer is what you are after, maybe a 3M product? A search might find it....

Follow up:

The 3M 5200 Marine seam sealer is quite incredible.

It is important to pry up the old sealer, but the 3M lays down in the seam really nice and is ultra adherent. It takes several days to cure, and then you can paint over it.
