I'm sure there is another thread about this, but I've searched and nothing came up.

I did the RadioShack buzzer install and I noticed the other day when turning off the air ventilation it goes off if the lights are on and I am driving. I can turn off the air and no buzz happens if the lights are off. Not the actual a/c but the air horizontal drag switch.

Anyone have the same issue? Maybe I tapped into the wrong fuses?

FJ62's do not have a headlight buzzer. If you have a buzzer come on when you leave your headlights on then someone did some custom wiring.

If the buzzer comes on when door is open with key in then we can get back to your question.

I use the rear/tail lights; left side is fused. Also works as a door ajar warning when lights are on.

black ground wire from door switch and red plus from tail light.

Randy it's a mod that is discussed in the best $50 mods but it was done with the fj60s.

Seems like there would be an easier way than all the wire to the rear light. Thanks for the info!

I misread the original post. There is a writeup on the yahoo 3FE boards that discusses teh installation of a diode on the passenger side foor panel. I forget the exact two wires it joins and which direction the diode points but it allowed me to use the stock buzzer for lights left on warning. It was a cleaner install than adding a buzzer and it cost less than one dollar.
