Well it took me 3 full days to get everything I needed from my parts vehicle for my engine swap. I took off the upper manifold and there is oil so at the least I will pull the head and put in all new valve seals. What else should I do while I have the motor on a stand to make sure I will get another 100,000+? Checked compression before I took the motor out and all cylinders where +/- 5 of 150 Also thinking about using ARP studs for exhaust and head. Does ARP even make hardware for this engine?

Thanks,
Andy

i would check and replace any seal that is even remotely questionable since you have the engine on a stand. check your freeze plugs too. i would replace anything questionable for having the space to work while the engine is on the stand is a dream.

perhaps painting the engine would be a good thing since you live where it's hot and humid...to ward off corrosion. good time to get the engine compartment nice and clean too...
