A little OT but - I don't have that intake tube running from my grille to my intake, its just picking up right in the engine bay. What size is that tube? Where does it end, right behind the grille? I'm thinking I can save a few bucks by fabbing my own instead of ordering one from toyota. I'll take a picture if I'm not making sense.

There's a hole in the front clip, behind the driver's headlight. Should also be a
modified hoseclamp bolted to the fenderwell there. That's the diameter of the hose.
The OEM one is heavy plastic. Barely flexible. Thick walled. Good stuff. And less than
$100. Just get that one.

- OEM Dude. :)

word - I was just a little skeptical of OEM Pricing, I had to replace the hose from the back of the airpump to the intake and it was 82$ for a pre-formed. Thats not cheap :(

For the pragmatic...

Since the general consensus is that the snorkel is as pretencious as its owner, why worry with the plumbing? Just slap it on there, load up the roof rack with all kinds of equipment, throw on some canvas khakis and an Indiana Jones hat, and when you pass people say: "Good day, mate" with your thickest Australian accent.
