I am wiring in driving and fog lights on my 60, and having a hard time finding switches that will fit the existing (unoccupied) dash knockout next to the choke.

Is this thing a standard size that I can get from the manufaturer? Toyota sold me a part they thought would fit, but it won't work.

I don't want to have to pay more than the lights for the switch. Is there a standard substitute?

Thanks

what about the factory OEM fog light switch that shipped with the '62 series? Cruiserparts.net has them and it's my impression that they will fit in a '60 as well -- don't quote me on that, but it's definately worth looking into....

other option: find a rocker that you can fit into the factory covers for the unused punchouts....

take a look at Painless Wiring: http://www.painlessperformance.com/. They are showing some rockers on their site that they claim will fit Toyota dash punchouts...

The Cruiserparts.net switch is not a factory Toyota part. It's a Cole-Hersee with a grossly inflated price. It does not match the other factory switches, but it will fit the dash holes.

See page 10 of this pdf: http://www.colehersee.com/pdf/master_cat/b_toggles.PDF , pick the switch you want, and order it from some place like West Marine, or anyone that carries Cole Hersee switches.

Only off place on a 60 that a off the shelf rocker switch wil fix is on the knockout/blank to the right of the steering colume, the rest are all odd ball size from what can tell.

hey Yooper,
