Hey guys. I am running a OME suspension kit on my 85 FJ60. I have the CS004 front and back. Now I do not like how the FJ60 sits and that is because it sits higher in the rear about an inch 1/2. I was told that the suspension is designed like that but I want my truck to look even. I never load anything in the rear so that's no an issue.

It's crossing my mind to buy 2 extra leafs from OME and add them to the front springs that way the front sits higher. I am running 5 3/8th shackles in the rear and the same in the front.

Could the extra leaf help and solve this problem????

Any sugestions????

Thanks

Don't know how to help you now that you have the springs already installed. Another leaf may make for a pretty stiff ride.

When I got my original OME set up 10 years ago from TPI, I talked with them about the "jacked up" look and they suggested I go with OME11 HD's on the front and OME221A&B lights on the rear.
That's what I got and she ran level from the get go.

Seems the OME numbers have changed since then.

Joe they have. I have the medium set up in the rear and front. I called ARB and they said that if I add that leaf it would go from the medium to the heavy which is CS005.

You have that same set up. medium in the back and heavy in the front right?

Thanks Joe.

lift

I removed the long schackles from the back and replaced them with the short stock one from the front. I will leave it like this until the back springs settle. I also added a leaf from my old spring pack to the front to compensate for the Safari bumper and 9.5 ti Warn. Give me your email ad and I will send pics. I don't know how to post them here.

I have the heavy up front, but according to the old invoice from ARB they're listed as light on the back.

The new springs are now called Dakkar right?
Not made in Aussy any more correct? Maybe they no longer list a light spring. Not Sure.:hhmm:

Joe, some websites list them as light/medium and the others as medium/heavy.

They do not make them in Australia anymore. Supposed to be the same technology though.

Any pics from your ride??

What type of shackles are u running???

KBill45 I sent u a Pm with the email address.

Thank you all

The OME greasable shackles for the front and rear are slightly different in length. I believe that the rears are longer. Do you think that swapping them would make a difference?

I used the full OME set up including springs, bushings, grease pins, anti -inversion shackles, shocks, steering stabilizer.

This pic is from the winter before she pulled in for a complete frame off. Springs at this point are about 11 years young.

The frame off will include a new OME set up with heavier springs on the rear. I don't mind the jacked up look anymore if you can believe it! Plus I want to put on a heavier bumper, hopefully a Slee.

I added the long add a leafs to my front OME mediums to bring the front up and it worked great.
