I'm in the process of upgrading the ignition system on my '73 FJ40.
If you have any of the following parts, I'd like to buy them from you.

FJ60 Large Cap Distributor. 2F motor.
Igniter.
Dented Side Cover.
 
For a lot less hassle, I could hook you up with a brand new vacuum advance dizzy with electronic ignition installed. No 30 year old failed advancer, no 30 year old failing module. No 30 year old failing igniter. No side cover change necessary.

We need to chat. I’m replacing a new carb and elec dizzy I previously purchased from another member. My cruiser hasn’t run properly since installing them. I’ve been chasing issues for over two years. I assumed the carb and dizzy were correct, and have been going crazy trying to find something wrong elsewhere.
Enough is enough. It’s time to face facts and scrap those parts.
 
One of life's many ironies is that some people insist on going down a certain path, so I still spend time trying to acquire parts that people are going to ask for, even if they wouldn't be MY first choice.

I kid you not: Somebody actually ordered a vacuum retard distributor a few weeks ago.
