FJ60 factory roof rack? (1 Viewer)

Looking at this LC for a possible replacement for my totaled one. It's a couple of states away and all I've got so far are a couple of photos. Could someone give me some insight on what appears to be a factory roof rack? Are nutserts inserted in the roof and then the rack is bolted on? It's a 1987, if that helps.

A number of threads over the years have revealed that there is no OEM/factory roof rack for an FJ60 - all are dealer installed or aftermarket. I'm sure some were installed with nutserts, since pulling the headliner is impractical for a roof rack installation.

Mine was just screwed into the sheet metal along with the chrome stripes. Hopefully yours doesn’t have any rust under the feet like mine did

For others searching about roof racks, all Canadian BJ60’s and HJ60’s came with factory installed roof racks. They had threaded reinforcing plates welded under the roof to bolt the support to. I have a picture somewhere and if I can find it I’ll add it to this post.

EDIT: pictures attached. Don't mind the atrocious rust going on here. This is odd by the way - most Canadian trucks rust from the bottom up, not the top down like this one (actually this one rusted both ways).
