With the distributor cap off, apply vacuum to each of the advancer ports. If the plate the advancer is attached to moves, the advancer works.

If you don't have a vacuum pump, you can just pull vacuum from another rig to use. The dizzy won't know the difference...unless it's a jeep!

I am generally not up QUITE this early. Back pain from too much volleyball yesterday shortened my sleep period.

Tested both ports and advance works at is should.
