If it tests, I'll take it Ian.

Put a multimeter across the connector spades and measure the Ohms ...

With it out, I'm not sure what temp to bring it to before measuring.
Mr. @Spike Strip ?

Measure at Room Temp. If there's a reading (the good ones I have measure under 1000 ohm) ... What you don't want to see in no reading at all or VERY high. The resistance will decrease as heated.

I have also just held a BIC lighter at the tip to see if the resistance changes ...

Learnage!

Honestly, with the new Magnaflow OBD II compliant CATs required in Kalif, doesn't really matter if that thing works or not. The new ones don't overheat and are not nearly as restrictive as the giant bricks that came with the truck. I just have mine in there to appease the smog nazis.

My last test, the smog tech actually crawled under and read the embossed number on the CAT and said, 'Good, you've got the sensor in there. I've failed people for that.' Turns out he used to own an FJ60 ...

Next time I DO NOT go to someone who knows cruisers. :)

Good luck!

Well, that beats the 0’s I’m getting.
