FJ55 Up the Street from Me

I live in Pinetop-Lakeside, up the street from me there is an FJ55 just waiting for me to take care of. My neighbors are never around, they live in Tucson or Phoenix. I put a message on the windshield for them to call me if they choose to sell. It is all white, originally it was smurf blue and white, interior looks clean, everything is there, has typical rust in lower fenders. Other than that body is pretty good. I was told by another neighbor that it ran last year. They see it running around on occassion. If they call, what should I offer?

Howdy! Value is all in the eye of the beholder(seller). How complete is it, and how much rust does it have hiding in the rocker panels and the front fenders just in front of the doors? Can you tell what year it is, maybe from the VIN? You might get lucky and get it for under a grand, but they may want 5 to 10 times that!! Get more ID on the owners, and maybe some of us can track them down for you. John
