this is a basic fj55 in southern california, I put a 2f head on the f engine because the old one was cracked, the carb was replaced at the same time but then it has been sitting for about six years and is started up occasionally to make sure things work, and it runs fine after warming up and getting some nice fresh $4 gas in it but sometimes it takes a while to get it to idle. the clutch is in great shape, unfortunately after doing all the repairs the car has sat around. now I need to sell it. it needs a complete interior, I have the seats and headliner bars but no door panels or dash. Underside of rig is solid, I don't know why but rust is showing up in the roof and gutters and is bubbling the primer since the paint is just a bunch of different primer jobs it was blue and white at one point. I guess they all rust in the same places. the body is really quite good overall, I would say it is very solid compared to many out there. it is a three speed on the column shift, it needs blinker work, I can't seem to get them working and the window gear is broken and have not been able to get a brass one yet so the window stays down. The windshield is cracked too, I am too cheap to buy a new one

I am asking 30oo for the rig, if you are in southern california come take a look at it. calling would be best, I really dislike email, 626-572-5406

I have a question for you, how did you get a flat piston f to work with a dommed piston 2f head?

I didn't know there was a difference in the heads between the f and 2f, I bought the used head from somebody who said the head would work and they told me it was a 2f head but maybe it was not. I didn't know the 2f had domed pistons, it was a long time ago that I did the swap and The only visible difference that I remember was that there were air injection ports in the head and they got capped. Maybe the engine has really low compression ratio now if it has a bigger combustion chamber. Who knows

Thanks for the reply. Bump for you.
