Appreciate the offer but......

I just sold a tail gate emblem for way too little because the search engine of this site does not give all the locations where the search terms is located. I found out after I had sold it, that is was worth 70 dollars more.

I do not want repeat this error. So if anyone has some information as to what this is worth for real then please let me know.

Wout,

If we only knew the top dollar we could get.............There's a big difference in what someone after the sale says that he MIGHT have paid you, and what someone ACTUALLY did pony-up and pay you. Wanting to sell something but setting the price too high....and you effectively become your only buyer.

Give it some time, and since you asked "what are these worth," listen to the responses you get. Then decide how quickly you want to sell your items, and price them accordingly. At least that's how I look at things. And yes, I have bought stuff from myself before--not very satisfying.

Paul,

Thanks for the link, at least we have the starting point of $300 for both panels in a group buy back in 2008. So adjusted for inflation (deflation is a myth - what has truly gotten cheaper?) and that these are a one off item available now vs having to put a group together, they should be worth about $450 for the both of them without the price being unreasonable.

So herewith the price is reduced to $450 for both.

BTW, the FJ45LV is my daily driver, she keeps on trucking really well, and the inside will be finished up next summer when I can do it as a father and son project. The outside stayed as is. Great functional truck. Thanks again for selling it to me.

Bear,
Well in the emblem case there was an actual price paid in an old post for the very same item but the search engine (searched five variations of terms and read everything) did not bring it up, so it was not an instance of "aw shucks I couda may be gotten more" There was factual evidence. Lucky for the buyer.

Since they are sold I will comment. I had a set of these, likely the ones for sale. They were so far of from original they were worthless. If anyone needs these parts my advice is make them yourself. That's what I did and the results were much better.
