I shortened mine a touch and flipped the bracket that goes under the speedo to ga in some height. It all helped for fitment of a larger individual. In case that might be of some assistance. Ground the spot welds on the tube bracket that went to firewall. Can't go too far forward or hits knees. Also raised the seat a bit to help with legroom. Fitment is a personal thing in the tight confines of the elusive fj45

IOW, cut to fit...the driver! I added over half an inch to the upper hoop to push the column up. @Bandicoot did me one better and drilled a very sano hole in the bottom of the dashboard so the turn signal could follow the column rather than rotating to keep it under the dash.

While I love the 45's, I look like a monkey f%*#ing a football driving one... I'm only 6'2 but long inseam makes for interesting geometry =) Maybe chop up a donor for a kingcab...

I have a 45 and it is fun but it is not a truck I would want to drive across the US. That is why I took a 40 cut it off st the B pillar and call it my 40-45 added 8" so it would be confi. Not a true 45 but close enough for me.

I'm 6'4" and mines my daily. Also drove it Brisbane to Sydney, which is about 600mi. in a day.

T

hat yoga is working wonders for you, I am so cramped I can't hardly work the pedals...
At the risk of my masculinity on an almost exclusively men's forum, Bikram is actually the s***. No more bulging disc woes for this giant.

6'1 here, also use my 45 as my DD. i find i end up using the gear shift half way down as its more comfy. also plan on putting 60 series buckets in for more leg room like i had on my last one.

on a side note but same page, any one else find it a weird angle for your foot/ankle to be in when your cruising along? after an hour or so driving my foot is aching.
