Okay, we just got our tax return back the other day and were so blown away with a whole $40 that I decided I will buy some new FJ45 LWB tailgate latches.
So with that said I have two good used latches that are a a bit worn around the hinge pins to give to someone that is not getting a tax return, for free. They actually do still work pretty good and did not rattle, just a bit worn (See photos). Someone did some welding on them. So what you see is what you get -no returns.
The lucky winner will pay for the flat rate small USPS shipping for the USA only (sorry). Not sure what that cost is, $5 or something. We can work that out. So any of my FJ45 brothers out there that might be in need, act now and they are yours + shipping.
:clap::bounce:

Not seen on TV.

Thanks

Well we had to pay again this year.:bang: I tink my wife makes too much money I should probably just retire so so we can get a refund.

I did get one of Kevin's new tailgate and thinking these might not work to well. So who latches did you buy and how would you rate the quality compared to what the OEMs would have been new?

Latches

Well as you properly can tell I am kidding about the taxes but not the latches. They are in pretty good shape and still usable.
I was ordering some other parts from Cruiser Corps ( http://www.cruisercorps.com/search/?q=latch ) and saw the hinges that a few weeks before someone on Mudd had said were going for a pretty good price, and they are.

Latches

The latches I received from Cruiser Corps are most likely made in Taiwan form doing a search. Properly the same as Cool Cruisers has and SOR.
There is hardly any differences between my old stock latches and the new one. The only difference is the two mount holds on the stock are with welded nuts and the new ones are with pressed threads that are just as good. Also the hinge handle pin on the newer one seems to be a bit better than the stock, should not oblong out as fast (years) from continued use as the stock did. But as the stocks are over 30 years old they still work but if you have one of Kevin's works of art I too would go with the new ones.
1-10 on the copy's - I give them a 10.

:wrench:

Note: I have not had a chance to mount them up as my LWB is in the paint shop under going new paint. Will post later.

Hi!.
Maybe this is a dumb question considering the last date of posting (more than a year), but ....those tailgates latch are still available? I am looking for a used fj45 pickup latchs for my T10 trailer restoration (same parts)
Thanks

Sorry bro they are long gone.
Would be cool if you post your trailer T10 in the trailer section, see some work you have done or started.
Cheers
