Hey all,

So I get in to drive this morning to work and when I hit the gas pedal, the throttle cable popped loose from the pedal. The little fat end that connects the cable to the pedal broke off. I have pulled the small amount of cable from that little piece, and now have attempted to thread the cable back through the little piece, so as to reconnect it to the pedal, but am unsuccessful. Anyone have any tricks or guidance regarding this fix? The hole for the little end piece seems to be smaller than the cable threads, so threading it on is a bear...

cheers,

Joel

Joel,
Can you run a drill through the hole to open up the bore slightly to make threading viable? Once you get it threaded through, how are you going to resecure it? (pictures?)

Also, have you posted this on the diesel forum yet? There maybe others that have experienced this and can share their direct knowledge.

Good luck

Good idea, I'll try to drill it out a bit larger. Once threaded, there is an Alan screw to tighten it in there... Right now I have locking pliers clamping it, works well

Cheers!
