Looking for a "windjammer" type see-through screen to install on my rollbar behind the front seats... similar to what covertibles have between seat headrests. Would use this when I have the bikini top installed. Haven't been able find one made for FJ40. Maybe a new product idea? If you know of where I can get one, please advise.

kinda like what I had in mind - but looking for a heavy, rigid screen material... concerned that this will be a windflapping noise maker... guess I could try it and see. Thanks

Get to fabbin'...

Expanded metal or perforated your choice. some high quality, crimped metal, welded wire, mesh with a nice tube border. Don't forget the auxilary, driver cooling unit access hatch! LOL

I've got the one from TPI (TPI4x4.com) and it works great. At 60-65 mph it does not flap, but my family length bikini flaps like crazy. I have been told that I need some type of block between the windshield frame and roll bar to prevent the windshield from being pushed back at speed and giving slack to the top.

i also have the tpi one and am pleased. don't know if they're still available...they seem to go through periods where you can't get them

I just bought one of these from bestop. I got the standard model made for the 1980-83 cj5 and it is way too small at 45 inches wide. The better choice is jammer made for the 2007-18 jk which is 53.75 wide. Bestop does not publish dimensions on their site so I hope someone finds this useful.
