FJ40 tub for sale.

Just thought I would like the local guys know. I am selling the tub from my FJ40 project now that I have picked up the 45. Pics can be seen in the below link.

interested in that tub, I have a 68 40 project and really wanted to keep it steel. Any rust spots or anything else I should know

For a full resto you might want to consider replacing the rear sill. Its not that bad though. Other than that there are a couple small rust spots the size of a quarter. The tub is really in great shape.

I picked up a really nice rust free 68 frame, motor, tranny, axles but the tub is shot. just hoping to do a "renovation" to make it a DD. I'll have to learn how to drive that non-synchroed first gear. I live up south of boston in Dover. how heavy is the tub, could a couple of guys lift it into a truck?

is the battery holder the starp piece that goes over the top of the battery? if so I will take it
I will take the miscilanous dash parts too
I will take the split case parts too. I mind as well have spare parts on that

I should have all the front heater parts from my 74.

I can vouch for the quality of the tub.
It is an excellent shape tub for a builder or driver.

Its not show room, but it is defentily what I would consider in 'excellent' shape for an older, NE truck. Its defentily something I would take a look at.

yeah I bought another 40, or more like half of a 40. I wanted a DD and I found one pretty cheap. I'll post some picks as soon as I find my usb for my camara. I'm stripping it down to the frame right now.

no, the wife said she is picking the color, gave her the list of cruiser colors and I think she wants it dune biege.

I believe that it will but you might want to post the question in the 40 forum. I am not that familiar with the earlier 40's
