Ok guys, winter is approaching so off comes the soft tops and on go the hard tops!

If anyone has had enough of their frame and bows and are thinking about running a hard top 24/7 id be interested in them

Thanks!

Dan

Looking for the bows themselves if you have a set for sale?

Its going on an FJ45 so the soft top wouldn't fit unfortunately

Here is a pic of what I need

Well, shoot me a PM with what you got and what you are looking for them and I'll tell you if I can swing it or not!

Do you have the complete set including all the bits shown in the picture?

Realsteels are $925 and they are Real nice and Real Pricey.

Yup thats why I'm in the market for a used set! Im sure the quality is good, but its a hard price to swallow!

Used Oem ones go for $800+ usually.(and sell instantly) So even if a set pops up-they would need to be real rusty or beat up and missing things to go under $700 and they would be sold before you saw the thread.

So in reality you are going to save $100 MAYBE.........and heres the kicker.

Realsteel Co. is currently for sale- so if you look for a year and decide that the few OEM sets that pop up in the for sale section arent worth the $1000-1100 because they are a complete minty set.......and Realsteel has sold to a new owner who has jacked the price of the Realsteels to $1125 plus shipping-you are really going to be kicking yourself for spending a year to try and save $100-only to fork over 1125 vs 925 now.

Good point

Another thing to think about is there a two different B pillar bows. Angled if running hard doors and straight if running factory soft top doors. All bows imported to the US by Toyota were for soft doors.

Interesting didn't know that.
Well mine is an 82 and I want to run bestop soft doors and stretch a bikini top over the cab.
So from what you're saying i would need straight B pillar bows.

A friend of mine has a 40 and runs a soft top year through but puts on hard doors during the winter ... he doesn't have 2 sets of B pillar bows just 1.
It came with his truck when he bought it so I assumed they were one and the same p

hmmm anyone have pics of the 2 B pillars together so i can compare. I wanna make sure i buy the ones so i can run hard doors with a soft top

Real steel only makes the flat version, which is not correct for anything past 74 in the US. They will work on late model trucks/doors, but put pressure on your door uppers if you don't cut/weld them to make up for the bend. They are also easily recognizable as replicas, so if you have a high dollar truck that could be an issue for you. If your only concern if function over form, then they are a great option. A good product all around, but important to know the, "trade offs" so to speak, from OEM.
