Does anyone have any input on how the removable metal window channel (latch side of the door) mounts on the top? I know the bottom screws into the side of the door (below the latch), but how does it mount at the upper end? Mine doesn't sit squarely there for some reason. It has the wider c-shaped end, but that doesn't seem to align with anything.

Can you post a pic of what you are asking about . ?

Please watch the video linked in the other thread at 16:13 it shows exactly what you want to see, the top piece coming down from window frame interlocks with the piece you are asking about.

As someone who has not followed threads about window channels a link to the thread your are talking about would be helpful. Six months from now I wouldn't be the only one wondering what thread if they found this one in a search.

The video is from the fj40 channel but the video is very dark and is hard to see what he is indicating inside the door panel. I've attached a photo of the channel and how it lays against the bracket near the window opening. It does not fit inside or around this bracket.

Do you have another piece that goes between glass & piece with scratch on it ? IIRC there is a missing piece that goes there & extends upwards & engages with part shown at top of pic.

No, no other piece. Here's a better photo with the two parts labeled. Should I try to force the removable channel up around the fixed one?
