That is the more highly sought after increased airflow intake. They only made them a couple years ‘68-‘69 maybe. Someone will want that for a touch more power.
Is there a way to tell by looking at it? I have a couple here but the years are unknown.

Easy to tell apart when you see them side by side. High airflow intake is significantly wider. I’ll try to grab a pic as I just replaced mine with high intake model.

A comparison pic would be great, thanks!

Actually you can run them with headers.

But you have to clearance them very carefully.

I worked on my 77 with a 2F engine

With respect to power, I can chirp my 33x10.5 tires going into 2nd and a small chirp going into 3rd at higher RPMs with 3:70s rear gears but with the H41 transmission that has 4.85:1 first gear with a splitcase.

Just Pertronix ignition, SOR ceramic headers and trollhole carb.

Everything else is stock Toyota

Here's a pic: Top one is wide runner from a '68. Bottom one is narrow runner from a '72. The bad part about the wide runner is that apparently it can't be run with headers, as there is interference due to the larger width.......ask me how I know....... :(

Thanks for posting this @Dallas Todd
The wider intake also has the firing order on the lower left side

I did all the clearance with the headers and intake out of the fj and bolted them on and off from each other maybe 50 times. I used I think a sharpy to highlight the interference and the dremeled over and over
