Details:

F engine, vacuum retard distributor, 9/73 through 1/75 CA spec with EGR.

Question:

Does the top of the shaft have any side-to-side play?

By holding the tail shaft, no. There’s no play whatsoever, a little more finger force Spring starts acting. There’s some play by going up and down. I don’t know if this is normal ?
