FJ40 Conversion-Local help (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys,
I am putting a 5.3L Vortec in my 74 FJ40. Looking for some local info. i am trying to find a late model 4 speed H42 and split case. either working or not. I could use a non functioning unit for mock up, but would like to find a working combo. (ultimately would like to run an H55)

Any of you know anyone who is willing to sell/trade/loan a 4 speed tranny/t-case combo?

I am posted up on the classified and not seeing much action there.

Also any recommendations on belhousing adapters to mate the 5.3L to the H42?

This is the adapter that came on my SBC to H42 setup: (P/N 712532) | Advance Adapters
Not sure if the Vortec has the same bolt pattern? Recently sold my adapter and transmission or I'd have let you try it. Not sure what you're planning on doing as far as tires and driving go, but I put in an SM465 to get the granny gear. A used one and bellhousing was less than the adapter.
