Up for sale is my 1978(subject line listed as 1977, title says 1978) Toyota Land cruiser FJ40, which I have owned for 10 years. Has a hard top and the original 2F inline 6 cylinder engine. Has exhaust headers and dual exhausts. Has 4-speed manual transmission with 2 speed transfer case, has lock out hubs. Has power steering and aftermarket AC. Equipped with Warn 9000 lb. winch with remote hand control, Has front brush guard with blinker guards, Equipped with Kenda Klever M/T tires with approximately 200 miles on them. Odometer is showing 8,309 miles on it, however, odometer cable was broken when I got the vehicle. I replaced cable, so I don't really know the actual mileage on the vehicle. If I had to make a guess, I would say somewhere over 100,000 miles.

Paint is in good shape with minor chips and scratches. Upon purchase in 2008, rust was cut out and replaced with new metal, POR-15 treated and cover paint. Minor rust was sanded to bare metal, acid treated, fiber glassed, treated with POR-15 and cover paint. After 10 years, there are a few spots that need to be sanded and treated with POR-15. Inside bottom of right rear ambulance door needs to be repaired. Diamond plate was on vehicle at time of my purchase and I have not taken the diamond plate off the rear corners or the kick plates, so there may be rust behind them, just saying. Body is straight with no damage. Upholstery on all seats is very good. Has front bucket seats and rear fold down bench seat. Dash is in very good condition. Has all OEM cluster gauges but only the oil pressure gauge works. Added aftermarket temp gauge and voltmeter. It is equipped with a roll bar.

Maintenance: Oil and filters changed on scheduled time. PS was rebuilt in 2015; clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and rear main seal replaced in 2014; clutch slave cylinder replaced in 2014.

The vehicle starts right up, has a new battery and has no mechanical issues that I am aware of.

I also have several boxes of extra parts that go with this sale.

This FJ40 has been our third vehicle for 10 years and has been used for some hunting. I am now 72 years old and have injuries to my legs from Vietnam. Don't want to see it go, but my age and health condition say otherwise. Note: This is NOT a frame off restoration. When bought, it was restored to serve as a third vehicle and an occasional squirrel hunting vehicle. It has never been mudded or bogged by me. It now has areas of apparent rust such as around the drip shield and inside bottom or right ambulance door.

FJ40 is sold as is, where is, with no warranty or guarantee either expressed or implied. There is no lien or other encumbrances on the vehicle.

Please, serious inquiries only. I have lots more pictures that i can send, but I don't understand the posting process on this site. If you will send me your email address I will send them to you, or, text by phone.

TO ALL VIEWERS, I APOLOGIZE. I FAILED TO PUT THE PRICE ON THE POST
THE PRICE OF THE FJ40 IS: $16,500
SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MIGHT HAVE CAUSED.

Sir: Thank you for responding. In looking at some of the minor chip places, I would say it was a beige or sand color.
Also, hopefully, it has been sold. Has not been picked up yet, but potential buyer has seen and driven it 3 times. We had a hand shake over the phone yesterday and he called me today and got the VIN so he get insurance on it tomorrow and come and pick it up Friday. Have had several people that were interested, but for one reason or another changed their minds. Sure hope this goes through. Don't have to sell it, but really want to. It has been my buddy for a little over 10 years, but time to let someone else enjoy the ride!!!
Thank you and take care...

Congrats on the hopeful sale! And thank you for your service.
