Hi,

Looking for a coarse spline birfield for my 1974 FJ40.
Really need 1 but will take a pair if it's what you have.

It will be used as spare for a remote trip I plan, so I won't try to install it before hand. From the EPC the right part is 43405-60011 used from 1973 to 1975.
But as far as I can research I can't find what could be the difference with the previous reference (and all the parts that goes around the birfield keep the same PN all along) so if someone had a better knowledge and could confirm compatibility I guess the older 43405-60010 should be fine too.

I'm located in France, so I need someone which accept to send to France. In my long experience buying parts in the US, international shipping with USPS is going fine. On your side you will just have an extra paper to fill, at the USPS office, stating what you are shipping ("car part") and the price. Import tax will be on my side at reception.
International USPS will probably be more expensive than the part but I can't find a coarse spline birfield locally, and I'm accepting this cost for the piece of mind of having this spare with me while in the middle of the Sahara with my FJ40 =)

Thanks for your help!

You can use the earlier Birfield in your truck, and they are plentiful. You should be able to find one of those on your side of the pond cheaply as well.

The bell on the 73-75 Birfields is slightly larger, making it theoretically stronger than the 68-72 variety. But the only 74 I ever saw break broke right behind the locking hub, where the thickness is the same.🤷🏻‍♂️
