FJ40 16" Wheel and Back Spacing

So I'm looking at aftermarket Dick Cepak rims and the 15" rim has a backspacing of 3.65" which is too much if my research is right. I don't want to run spacers.

If I move up to a 16" rim, will that give me enough clearance or will I still be in danger of hitting suspension components at full lock?

I'm planning on going BFG AT T/A KO 33x10.5 tires.

It's not easy to find in-stock 16" rims with less than 4" backspacing.

Sounds like I still need to worry about back spacing of 3.5" even when I go up to a 16" rim. Am i reading your reply right? Bummer.

Depends on your setup. With stock manual steering with a drag link you, for sure, do.

33x9.5s will contact the stock steering, just a little, with stock rims.
