I have Lomusass in Panama making me a mid bed, a rear floor and both wheelwells for the resto. Total is $436 plus shipping. (no idea what shipping will be) I've given him the dimensions and hopefully in a few weeks, I'll have them in my hands. I figured, that if anyone else wanted these parts, now would be a good time since he's making them. PM him if you're interested. :D

i posted up in the tech section regarding this, but maybe you can provide some more insight since you are using the lomusass panels in a restoration:

what type of special prep needs to be done to properly prime/paint his galvanized panels? i am assuming since this is a meticulous restoration, you will want the paint job to be perfect.

i heard (read) that simply wiping it down with vinegar before priming was sufficient, but have also heard that it is more complicated than that. anyway, just hoping someone here might have some insight. thanks!

I'll let ya know. I actually havent researched it yet. The rest of the body is getting epoxy primer/sealer. Typical prep of sheet metal is wipe down with a degreaser, then tack cloth, then prime. I'll have to look on the Dupont website to see if there is anything different about painting over galvanized steel.

What thickness or gage steel are you having Loumass do the bed in?

Just measured in a couple places, not the floor, .050" or 18g, but I'll measure some more now that Steve has planted the seed of doubt!

I "think" its 18.....the brackets and stuff are thicker, I'm working with 16 ga on that.

Dude!! You're a "Lifer!!"

I'll second Nerd...did some checking with a caliper and found most of the sheet metal is 18 (fuel filler area seemed thicker 16)...door pillars, channels under the flloorboards and bed, and two sides (undersides) of the "box" the seats mount to are 16...the inside portion of the dreaded "C" sandwich in back is very thick, like .10 or so, but I couldn't get a good read in it....
