1977 FJ 40 body. 3B and H55F swapped from a Canadian BJ60. Garrett 2052 Turbo that matches up excellently with the 3B engine. Turbo conversion kit supplied by Jefferson State Machining and Extreme Bends Cruiser parts of Vancouver Canada. Installed by Kent's Diesel Works of Mesa AZ.
Many positive independent reviews of this Garrett Turbo install can be found on the 3B forum on IH8MUD.com. The LC has front disc brakes, Saginaw power steering, CD player, rear heater, right and left rear drop down seats, Pyrometer and Boost gauges and a tach that is not wired in. There is a new Old Man Emu medium duty suspension kit that was just installed. There is a quarter sized tear on the drivers side floor carpet. The dash has a few cracks. The lower portion of the passengers side seat has some stitching coming loose and quarter sized imperfection, looks like some type of heat damage. The underside of the roof is lacking the inner liner.
This Land Cruiser excels on and off road. The 3B diesel is know around the world (Aussie's love this engine) as a simple, extremely reliable engine (many go 500,000 before an overhaul) with great low end tourque that can handle most ugly terrain. By adding the Garrett Turbo and the H55F the LC can cruise at highway speeds between 70-80 mph with ease and the new OME suspension makes it a very stable ride. I routinely hit 80 mph and don't even realize it. At that speed the pyrometer and boost have to watched carefully. This is a unique Land Cruiser. Please research the 3B, H55F and the Garrett Turbo set up and I think you will come away impressed.
Thanks for your interest. This is a great Land Cruiser. $19,000
