FJ-60 Temp sender question

Will using teflon tape on the temp sensor affect the reading of the guage ? Or will using the tape on the sender fitting affect the reading? I kinda remember somone
saying not to use any tape on the temp sender as it does not allow for a good ground. Any idea on this ? Thanks

Hey Mike, I have tried both ways and don't seem to see any difference. I have always used Teflon on all water and oil connections with never a sending unit problem. I know some people say no but it works for me.

Use that copper coat kinda stuff, I think permatex makes it but I am not sure, it is pretty much liquid metal seal.
